The pique should be washed at 30–40°C with similar colors. This washing temperature preserves the pique's texture and ensures long-lasting use.

Pique may pill depending on the quality of the yarn used and how it is cared for. Pilling is minimal in piques made from high-quality cotton yarn and washed according to the correct washing instructions.

The pique size should be chosen according to the bed size and how much the pique is desired to cover the bed. Generally, wider pique sizes than the bed size are preferred so that they drape over the sides of the bed.

A bedspread is mainly used for decorative purposes and gives the bed a stylish look. A pique, on the other hand, is a seasonal bedroom item used during sleep, thanks to its lightweight structure.
